This trimming unit is driven by a motor with profiling cutters for rough and fine trimming (note: cutters are optional). It shapes the top and bottom edge tape into smooth rounded corners. Equipped with dust extraction covers to remove wood chips during working. Each cutter station can be independently adjusted for different panel edges and R radii. It is a replacement and upgrade assembly for automatic edge banders.

• Rough and Fine Trimming: The unit combines a rough cut and a finish cut, taking off the bulk of the tape overhang first and then shaving the edge to its final rounded profile.
• Motor Driven Profiling Cutters: Motors drive the profiling cutter heads at working speed, so the tape is cut cleanly instead of being torn or pushed away from the panel.
• Smooth Rounded Corners: The cutters form matching radii on the top and bottom edge, giving a soft, uniform corner that is ready for scraping and polishing.
• Dust Extraction Covers: Each cutter station is fitted with a cover connected to the extraction line, removing wood chips and tape shavings before they reach the panel surface.
• Independent Station Adjustment: Every cutter station can be set on its own, so rough and fine heads can follow different panel edges and R radii without reworking the whole unit.
• Replacement and Upgrade Assembly: Installs as a complete trimming assembly on automatic edge banders, replacing a worn station or upgrading to a rough plus fine configuration.

Applications

Suitable for automatic and straight-line edge banding machines in furniture, cabinet, panel and door production. Trims PVC, ABS, melamine and veneer edge tape on particle board, MDF and plywood panels.
